Myself and rest of the Asset Management team enjoyed a very successful time showcasing the AVEVA range of asset management solutions at this month’s Maintec event, held over two days at the NEC in Birmingham.
It's clear that Industry 4.0 is ringing the changes at this pillar of the industry event calendar.The Maintec exhibition is rightly proud of its long history, having run on an annual basis for over 40 years, it promotes itself as the longest standing event dedicated to the maintenance, reliability and asset management industry.
Here at SolutionsPT, we also enjoy a long history, with an involvement in asset management throughout, but it’s the more recent changes taking place in the asset management world that led us to Maintec 2019.
Although asset management still has a very familiar feel in its core CMMS/EAM solutions (Computerised Maintenance Management/Enterprise Asset Management), it now finds itself at the very heart of digital transformation. The Maintec exhibition was really representative of this change with a healthy mix of the traditional and visionaries.
AVEVA is recognised by analysts as having the most comprehensive range of asset management solutions, and by reflecting this in our product demonstrations and presentations we were able to have wide ranging customer discussions. These spanned from Enterprise Asset Management through to predictive analytics and digital twin.
It was also encouraging to see a number of our existing customers at Maintec, and I believe this reflects the developing trend that we are seeing across our entire business as the asset management and operation/monitoring disciplines converge.
