Belden has let us know that they are discontinuing the Hirschmann SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches, with the last order date being December 31, 2019.
The SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches contain components which have become obsolete. Belden has a limited stock of these devices that will last until the final delivery date (June 30, 2020).
The already available SPIDER III Premium Line high port family is the recommended replacement part for the SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches, as it provides the functions and solutions you gained from the SPIDER II 16TX EEC and SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC switches being discontinued.
