I recently three fantastic days alongside our partners at Schneider Electric and AVEVA, bringing to life and showcasing AVEVA Insight to visitors of their stand at PPMA, the UK’s largest event dedicated to state-of-the-art processing and packaging machinery, which enjoyed another triumphant show at the NEC in Birmingham earlier this month.
Working closely with the team at Schneider, we came up with a new and exciting new way to showcase AVEVA Insight at the show. This involved installing IIoT devices to the robotics operating on both the Schneider stand and the stands of some of the leading machine builders who were exhibiting at the show.
These stands were then connected via the cloud, returning their data straight into AVEVA Insight and turning real-time data into insight which was then shown on a range of on-stand dashboards for visitors to see the information being captured and displayed in real-time.
With this new and innovative technique we were able to demonstrate first hand just how Insight can improve productivity, equipment performance and help promote collaboration throughout the supply chain.
It was also very interesting to take visitors through the ‘Innovation through Collaboration’ tour, which featured the AVEVA software we sell and enabled me to give visitors an insight into the technologies which make a digital transformation possible, from integrated engineering and design through to cloud-based monitoring and maintenance.
